You may recognize portions of this lovely home from previous posts about window treatments featuring a gray, orange and ivory color scheme.
Today, it’s the chair and ottoman’s turn to shine! What a transformation!
Cheryl’s favorite part of the BEFORE chair was how soft and comfortable the fabric was.
Style, color, pattern? Not so much.
We found this awesome gray and ivory quatrefoil that goes perfectly with her color scheme.
The upholsterer did an amazing job transforming both the chair and ottoman. The original size and style of the ottoman didn’t match the chair very well.
With the addition of a pleated skirt and larger cushion, the pair now look like they were made to go together!
Our next project was a custom monogrammed pillow.
The pillow was made from leftover gray fabric used on the banding of the ivory panels behind the sofa. Planning on a 22″ pillow, I cut a remnant approximately 30×30 and had a local embroidery shop monogram it for me in a simple, ivory script. The extra fabric ensured I had plenty of room to center the monogram before cutting out my pillow top.
This pillow includes a tiny, 1/2″ self flange.
We added another floral pillow with self piping to the sofa at the same time.
I love monograms.
I can’t tell you how motivated I am to get something reupholstered now! 🙂
The question is…which one of 3 possible projects should be first!?!
